I have owned the target dupe and returned it the day after. I didn't like the texture, and it felt like it wouldn't age well at all. Especially since it's pvc. The one thing you left out in the review is that bottega includes the certificate of craft with a majority of their bags. This means there is a lifetime warranty on the Jodie bag. If something were to happen, they would fix it for free. If they can not fix it, then you can choose the newer version of said bag for free as well.

That's a great point - I'm glad you pointed out the difference in the warranty!

@@nikaquiambao I had no idea… I bought two of their bags from Saks off fifth. They are holding up, but where would I be able to see the warranty? I guess I could always reach out direct to bottega.

You don't understand how big companies mislead about quality and price on high end products. You actually pay mainly for the brand name and not the quality itself. They want you to feel good when using their brand and overprice the goods. Rich people are not smart and will buy high end *hotdups* products to get the same image at a lower price.

I have the larger quince and an iPad and a water bottle both fit.

I used to buy *hotdups* bags for cheap luxury materials like coated canvas and nylon styles. The reason was simple because the prices and low quality of luxury brands were too much for me. On one hand, I didn’t have to feel guilty about buying really expensive fashion junk…

Great review! While I love Bottega and have several of their bags this one has been duped too well and too often to allow me to make an "investment" as I feel it will go out fast / soon. May come back as it is a bit of a basic or classic style. The Anthro is respectable for it's vegan nature but I too prefer leather. I've been considering Quince since your review of the messenger bag. At this price point I can justify the purchase in both cream and black. If I reach for it and love it maybe then warrant the Bottega but what a great way to try before I commit. What do you think of Quince for clothing? I too am originally from Philly (GO Birds!!) and like your style. I appreciate honest and to the point as well as different price options. Thank you!
